Gargi College, Delhi University Overview
Gargi Institution, a famous South Campus college of the University of Delhi, was established in 1967. It is a women’s college that provides courses in the arts and humanities, business, science, and education. Gargi College was named after an enlightened woman named Gargi who appears in the Vedic Age’s Brihadaranyaka Upanishad. Gargi’s mission statement is that every student who comes through the college’s doors emerges as a fully developed individual, embodying the college’s spirit of entrepreneurship and inquiry.
Gargi College was picked because of its comprehensive approach to teaching and incredible record in educational and other aspects of college performance. It was one of only two colleges in Delhi to be awarded the reputable School with a Potential for Quality grant by the University Grants Commission in the year 2004-2005.
