Gujarat National Law University, Gandhi Nagar Overview
Gujarat National Law University (GNLU), Gandhinagar, established in 2003 under the Gujarat National Law University Act, is one of India’s premier National Law Universities. Recognized by the UGC and the Bar Council of India, it enjoys statutory status and strong governance with the Chief Justice of India as its Visitor. The university is currently led by Director Sanjeevi Shanthakumar.
The university is located on a 50-acre eco-friendly campus in Gandhinagar’s Knowledge Corridor. Its infrastructure includes moot court halls, modern classrooms, a four-storey library, a legal history museum, sports facilities, Wi-Fi enabled hostels, and a dedicated medical center. GNLU emphasizes sustainability with green architecture and biodiversity on campus.
Academically, GNLU offers a wide range of programs including integrated undergraduate degrees (BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB, BSc LLB, BSW LLB), LLM, PhD, and various diplomas.
