The National Power Training Institute (NPTI) was established by the Indian government under the Ministry of Power to serve as the national apex body for the development of human resources in the Indian power sector. Durgapur’s NPTI (Eastern Region) is one of NPTI’s nine Regional Institutes, which were founded in 1968. The NPTI Corporate Office and various regional institutes are located at Michael Faraday Street, City Centre, Durgapur, West Bengal. NPTI has adopted an Integrated Management System in accordance with ISO 9001:2008 and EMS 14001:2005, as well as to give additional value to the power sector’s participating firms.
