Overview
Madhu Bala Institute of Communication & Electronic Media, New Delhi Overview
The Madhu Bala Institute of Communication and Electronic Media (MBICEM) is a non-profit organisation dedicated to boosting the country’s multiplier impact. Since its inception, the Institute has organised and conducted short and long-term programmes in order to prepare students to run their own media shop. This is India’s only school of its type, with a holistic approach to producing global communication managers with the most up-to-date technical knowledge. MBICEM was founded in 1996 in the National Capital Territory of Delhi to meet the rising demand for skilled media professionals.
When the Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSIPU) was founded in 1999 with the goal of facilitating Professional Studies, MBICEM decided to affiliate with it because it realised that the only way to bridge the gap between the industry’s demand for Trained Media Professionals and their supply was to conduct a three-year programme leading to a Bachelor of Journalism & Mass Communication
